Top 5 Favorite Engagement Session Locations
Divine Park in Spring Lake, New Jersey
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Divine Park in Spring Lake is always my #1 choice! I love this spot, first and foremost, for its versatility. There are lots of different places for photos all packed into one, like the whimsical bridge, the lake, lots of tall oak trees, small pathways, etc. It’s also only 2 minutes to the beach, so it adds so much variety to your gallery! If you want a mixture of outdoorsy and beachy photos this would be the perfect option. Divine Park is even where my fiancé and I did our engagement shoot and I couldn’t be more obsessed with it.
Seaside Beach & Boardwalk in Seaside Park, New Jersey
Seaside Beach is ideal for couples that can’t get enough of the Jersey Shore! It is a great location for a combination of boardwalk and beach photos! There’s still plenty of room for variation because of the beautiful tall grass! The light green mixed with a sunset, blue water, and neutral beach tones makes for a gorgeous color palette!
The Castle at Skylands Manor in Ringwood, New Jersey
The Skylands Manor in Ringwood is a stunning castle located at the New Jersey Botanical Gardens. If you love romantic, fairytale style settings, then this is the location for you! The grounds at Skyland Manor feature gorgeous Renaissance architecture, rolling hills, natural woodlands, stone terraces, and botanical lily ponds. This spot is the perfect balance for glamorous and outdoorsy couples.
Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown, New Jersey
Deep Cut Gardens is absolutely gorgeous and the perfect place for anyone who loves vivid florals and lush greenery. The garden itself is always immaculate and beautifully kept! It’s like a maze of flowers and enclosed gardens. There is a Koi pond, pergola, stone walls, Bonsai trees, and even a greenhouse. This Italian-style countryside garden is straight out of a storybook and filled to the brim with unique natural elements.
Bayshore Waterfront Park in Port Monmouth, New Jersey
Bayshore Waterfront Park is my hidden gem! Bayshore is a perfect little secluded oasis for intimate and romantic photos. Although the name says “park,” it’s really a section of the bay and the thriving coastal landscape makes it look just like a beachfront! The best part is that since it isn’t the ocean, it’s not as windy or crowded as the beach. It also has the green tall grass and overlooks the New York City skyline because it is close to Sandy Hook! It’s also great for the couples that want to go splash around by the shore at the end of their session for some photos because the water is very calm in the bay!
