I feel so lucky when I get to be a consistent part of a couple’s milestones. It is an honor to build a relationship with incredible people and take part in their special moments. I get the privilege of turning transcendental love into tangible art.

Cat and Val are a couple that have quickly surpassed a working relationship and become close friends of mine. I have had the opportunity to shoot their engagement session, wedding, and I am beyond excited to photograph their newborn session in June. Catherine and Valentin have a magnificent energy that shines through every photo session we’ve done so far. They are the kind of couple whose love is infectious and captivating.

“We met back in June of 2013 through a mutual childhood friend of ours. In a stroke of serendipity, we were all at the same event. Our connection was instant! As soon as we were introduced to each other, we didn’t leave each other’s side for the rest of the day. After that day, I think we both knew we had found something special. We developed a very strong friendship which ultimately led us to a beautiful romantic relationship in 2016 and the rest is history!”

We did such a fun engagement session in Jersey City, NJ. We started off by walking around the dreamy brownstone homes and taking some adorable shots on the steps of these cozy properties. Then we made our way over to Liberty State Park. The weather was, no pun intended, picture perfect! Clear blue skies, fresh green grass, and the warm glow of the sunset beaming off the New York skyline. They brought along their dog Zeus who, unfortunately, passed away before the wedding. But luckily, he got to be a special part of their engagement session and his gentle spirit will forever be captured in their pictures from that day!

We did their first look on their wedding day at the 9/11 Memorial Park in Weehawken, New Jersey. Their first look is a perfect example of when you can genuinely see a couple’s excitement and adoration for each other burst through the camera lens.

Their wedding took place at the exquisite Madison Hotel in Morristown, New Jersey. This venue is so unique in that it features a gorgeous glass greenhouse that makes for the most magical photos. I was so happy to be able to photograph their new puppy, Percy, on their wedding day.

I can’t wait to continue my journey with Cat and Val when their baby girl arrives in June!
